Climate change in Bangladesh: The impacts
Bangladesh is one of the countries which are very vulnerable to the effects of climate change. It has been expected that millions of people are going to become homeless within a span of 40 years.
According to Huffington Post, there will be a dramatic rise in the number of “climate change refugees” in the country in the coming decades. It has been estimated that around 20 million people in the Asian nation are going to lose their homes by 2050.
The report also stated that if sea levels rise by 3.2 feet then one fifth of the country will be submerged in water. It is noteworthy here that the country is located on the delta formed by some of the biggest rivers of Asia.
Bangladesh witnesses different kinds of natural disasters every year due to the global warming and climate change effects. Floods or flash floods, cyclone and storm surges, salinity intrusion and extreme temperature and draught are the calamities faced by the country every year.
The economy of Bangladesh is mainly based on agriculture. Thus, the environmental issues will have a widespread impact on the country’s economy. The fishery sector is also facing the adverse effects of climate change. One fourth of the population of the country lives in coastal areas. They are always affected by coastal floods/tidal surges, salinity, river bank erosion and tropical cyclones.
Bangladesh had witnessed its most devastating cyclone on November, 15, 2007. Cyclone Sidr hit the country’s coastline with winds of 155 miles per hour and tidal waves 16.4 feet, as reported by Huffington Post.
Rashedul Rana, an entrepreneur and climate volunteer, stated that climate exile is becoming a reality in the country. The Bangladeshi Capital Dhaka is flooded with millions of climate change refugees. These people are living in harsh conditions. According to Rana, this again emphasizes on the justice issues related to environmental change which affect the vulnerable and marginalized the most.

Google's Revenue !
Google reports $17.7 billion in revenue for Q2 2015, up 11% year over year Android Authority / Jimmy Westenberg / 7 days ago Google has just posted its financial reports for Q2 2015. The company saw tremendous growth in revenue, net income and paid advertisement clicks, which have all remained strong despite being faced with severe foreign currency fluctuations. Google earned a total of $17.7 billion in revenue from the beginning of April to the end of June, an 11-percent increase year over year. Net income has seen an increase to $3.93 billion, up from the $3.35 billion the company earned last year at this time. Sites owned by Google generated $12.4 billion, up 13% year over year. Paid advertisement clicks have seen an 18-percent year over year increase, and paid clicks on Google’s websites saw a 30-percent year over year and 10-percent quarter over quarter increase. The company says had foreign exchange rates remained constant from Q2 2014 to Q2 2015, Google’s revenues would have been $1.1 billion higher. Moving on, the semi-vague ‘other revenues’ portion generated a total of $1.7 billion, which marks a 17-percent increase year over year. This section includes a number of highly-profitable areas such as Google Play revenue and the Nexus program, among others. It should be noted that Google’s other revenues have seen a 3-percent decline from Q1 2015, which should come to no surprise considering the most recent Nexus launch happened back in October. Google’s operating costs totaled a massive $6.32 billion, up from $5.58 billion from the year prior. It should be noted that Google hired roughly 8,500 employees since this time last year, which contributes a lot to the increase in operating costs. Visit website
